Fitting a kitchen you've bought yourself

Lots of customers buy their kitchen from Howdens, Wren or DIY Kitchens and just need it fitting properly. Ash fits kitchens from any supplier. A bit of preparation makes the job go smoothly.

Get the plan checked

Before you order, ask your fitter to look at the plan and measurements. Small things, such as filler pieces, end panels and appliance housings, are easy to miss.

Check the delivery

Open and check every box when it arrives. Damaged or missing items are common, and the sooner they're reported, the sooner replacements arrive.

Clear the room

The old kitchen needs stripping out first. Ash can do the strip-out, or you can do it yourself to save on cost.

Sort the trades

Electrics, gas and plumbing often need moving to suit a new layout. Ash organises trusted trades so it's all done in the right order.

Worktops

Laminate worktops are cut and fitted on the day. Quartz and stone are templated after the units are fitted, then installed by the supplier.
